This funding aims to convert 11 at-risk auto manufacturing facilities across 8 states into production hubs for electric vehicles and their components.
The states benefiting from this announcement include Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, and Virginia. The hope is that this investment will create and retain thousands of good-paying jobs which will boost the local economies of these states.
The funding will be sourced from the Inflation Reduction Act, emphasizing the Administration’s commitment to investing in clean energy and American manufacturing.
